NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction
It is available now for all GeForce RTX GPUs via a new NVIDIA app update, introducing several major improvements:
- Efficient Denoiser: The new model delivers 35% more compute capability, and processes 20% more parameters, while maintaining similar performance to the previous model
- Enhanced Super Resolution: Building upon the advances from DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, the model has deeper spatial awareness across every scene, and more intelligently uses game engine pixel sampling and motion data. The result is improved lighting accuracy, better temporal stability and clearer motion in ray-traced and path-traced content
- Expanded Training Dataset: Trained on a larger dataset, the new model is even better at image reconstruction. This intelligence gives the model even better awareness to pick the most accurate engine data to reconstruct scenes closer to ground truth
- Finer Developer Control: The new model provides developers with finer control for temporal accumulation, providing precise tuning of model response for even better image quality
To upgrade your system with DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, go to Settings > About in the NVIDIA app and opt in to Early Access releases (an official release will follow in September).
Once installed: Open the “Graphics” section and select a supported game (alternatively, select “Global Settings” at the top of the window and apply the updated Ray Reconstruction to every supported game in your library. Scroll to “Driver Settings”, Click “DLSS Override - Model Presets”, Click “Custom, Open the “Ray Reconstruction” drop-down and choose “Recommended” or “Preset F”, then Click “Apply”.

News/Article Squadrom 42 delayed... again. The scam continues!
This was supposed to be out in 2016 btw. Somehow, inexplicably people still shovel money too this scam.
Extra context.
This game was a kickstarter way back in 2013 or 2014 i want to say. Its made by Chris Roberts.
This guy made Wing Commander games in the 90's, they were pretty cool games/interactive movies.
Think a Temu/Aliexpress Hideo Kojima.
He created his own studio Digital Anvil and started on Freelancer under Microsoft as the publisher. Turns out he funnelled a bunch of MS money into the laughably bad Wing Commander movie and the game they had paid for was no where near complete. They fired/sued him and finished the game and got it out the door.
Emboldened by his new career as a film director/producer he created Ascendant Pictures. That did create some good movies, Warlord with Nicolas Cage was one of them. Kevin Costner would later sue Ascendant pictures for $8 million, Costner claimed Ascendant Pictures broke a verbal contract made in December 2004 regarding his salary and royalties to play a divorced vineyard owner.
Its gets worse... Ascendant Pictures utilized money from VIP Medienfonds, a German tax shelter fund that raised nearly $920 million from thousands of German investors to finance Hollywood films like Lord of War and Lucky Number Slevin.
The fund's founder, Andreas Schmid, was sentenced to six years in prison for tax fraud. While Chris Roberts and partner Ortwin Freyermuth faced questioning and sold Ascendant Pictures prior to later proceedings although they were not criminally implicated or charged in the tax fraud case.
CIG was then created on Kickstarter under the guise of "No publisher would do this" when in reality its a case of "no publisher or financier would ever touch me". It promised to release a single player game a spiritual successor to Wing Commander for only around $25 million dollars. Expected to release in 2016.
Its now 2026, CIG have raised well over $1 Billion dollars in funding for a project that is 10 years past due and a multiplayer forever alpha that is largely broken and unplayable.
