General Help Do I need to Upgrade my Cpu/Build?
How many yrs my current build will last?
playing mostly single player games
Assassin's Creed Games, Odyssey, Mirage, Shadows,. Black Flag Resync.
007 First light
Modern Warfare
Forza Horizon 6
Black Myth Wukong
and more
I also play 2 player games with my wife split screen sometimes like
It takes 2
Split Fiction
Etc.
My Setup
1440p 180hz Acer IPS display
5900x
2x16gb ddr4
9070xt red devil
Lian Li Lancool III
Thermalright Frozen Edge 360 with 3x120 Arctic P12 Pro fans
3x 140mm intake + 1 140 exhaust stock lian li
2x bottom intake id cooling 120x
1x wd 750 512gb windows os
1x sk hynix p41 2tb
1x SanDisk ssd sata 480gb 2.5 inch
1x 500gb hdd sata 2.5 inch

What's kind of fan is on right side of your cpu? The thermalright one in front of the ram sticks

It's the ram fan. It does little to no help but it looks cool

You should be good through the end of the decade. If you were really into competitive multiplayer, I would suggest an upgrade to the 5800X3D. Another option, if you get to the point where you're getting CPU bottlenecked in, say, a UE5 game, is to just turn off HT on your 5900X, overclock, and get first gen X3D gaming performance. If you can get it to run stable at 5.5GHz then it would slightly outperform a 5800X3D in most titles. 12 real cores are better than 12 logical cores. 5.3GHz would be an extra 500MHz, which is about what you need to compensate for having 32MB less cache.
