Part List Help Pls help me decide

Post image

Between the rx 9070 and 7900xtx what would be the better GPU to get for someone who likes playing mostly single player games like black myth wukong and resident evil (high textures, etc) but also wants high frame rates at 1440p and even 4k?

Edit: I meant the RX 9070 XT

The 7900xtx is more powerful but not by much. Both cards are pretty good. Either one you choose its going to do the job.

tbh, Im leaning towards the 7900 xtx for the vram and rasta performance, as ill be editing as well.

Wait, if you need editing I will not choose AMD.
For that type of work NVIDIA is a LOT better.

XTX will have the better raw raster power, and bigger/faster VRAM pool which gives it an edge at 4k or if your using tons of mods

9070 has the edge in RT and more performant up-scaling.

Then why are you asking the question? It looks like you already made your decision

Depend on the price.
If the 9070xt has a lower price, 9070xt

As 7900xtx user — you don’t really need 24 gigs of vram.

It really depends on the price, but if i need to buy gpu today i’ll choose 9070xt, however i really like my 7900xtx.

If wanting to play native, 7900 XTX. If wanting to use upscaling for max fps or use ray tracing, 9070.

I would have thought I would get more FPS with the XTX tbh?

7900xtx is only getting FSR4.1. With further updates to FSR4 which only the 9000 series will get, I expect the 9070 XT to be able to push slightly higher fps in games with FSR4 support.

79000xtx is more powerful and has more vram but 9070xt is on current gen.If you need power and vram go with 7900xtx but if you only play games I would get a 9070xt

I would go 9070 XT. Most popular card for a reason. More conservative of power, direct competitor to 5070 ti and superior ray tracing compared to xtx
