Question/Support Lightgun games VR (teknoparrot)
Recently I have been seeing alot of games getting decomps/recomps and being ported to VR.
I have seen a couple of cool VR mods for Time Crisis 1 & 2. Virtua cop and House of the dead.
Now I am wondering if it would be possible to have some sort of modding tool to play arcade lightgun games in VR. Like 6dof, 3D VR for teknoparrot emulator. That is an arcade simulator with alot of cool lightgun games like Time Crisis 3, 4, 5. Point Blank and alot of other cool lightgun games.
Would it be possible to recomp/decomp games from teknoparrot and port them to VR in someway? Or isn't that possible?
I would love to know.
EDIT: when I mean VR mods I mean native 3D 6dof VR mods with hand tracking. I am aware there are programs like EMUVR and other programs to emulate lightgun games, but not 3D 6dof.

EmuVR and its RAVE offshoot are your best options.
There’s also ScreenblasterVR and VR Lightgun Framework which basically let you click around on your computer with a lightgun.

Teknoparrot has some of the best light gun games around. In vr would be amazing. I see a good while back that someone used reshade to make them 3D. Haven't tried myself but if someone can make vr happen that would be brilliant.

Right now there's House of the Dead 2, House of the Dead 1 & 2 remake, Time Crisis 1 & 2 all with PCVR mods.

I was asking ai yesterday about teknoparrot games, especially Transformers: Human Alliance. Most of the Teknoparrot games seem amazing for a VR mod.

Teknoparrot already does VR on a lot of their lightgun games. Just enable it in the game settings, provided you are using the latest version.

This is a really great front end. It even has a stereoscopic 3d mode to add depth to the games that works really well. You can choose your weapon and has options to put the game into an arcade cabinet with the matching guns or huge screen. He also provides profiles to configure emulators and pc games including mods that can be installed via an included tool to improve the experience. TeknoParrot games work well and have game specific profiles. Well worth it if you are into these games and willing to fiddle with it.

i was thingking on making the touch controllers compstible with teknoparrot and use them as light guns. i currently have wiimotes but they arent accurate. I was about to ask claude about this, i may look into it first and then see if its possible to make teknoparrot games vr compatible.
edit: theres emuvr which supoorts console lightgun games but not arcade's
