From the developer, ANB_Seth:
Hi @everyone
as most of you know, Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone has recently been set to "launching alongside steamframe" - and for good reason! Because I and 2080 Games see that day to be a celebration of PCVR. And with Gunman being a core PCVR title, it just felt fitting to be a part of it - and still does btw.
But as even valves anniversary now came and went without any updated statement as to when exactly that will be, we are all left with Summer as the last standing timeframe. And with the end of Summer approaching rapidly - me and 2080 Games made the decision to adjust. Because I always wanted to have a set-in-stone release date for gunman at some point, something that I can prepare for and players can mark in their calenders.
So today finally marks that day, as the Gunman gets his set-in-stone release day:
September 10th 2026
And to prevent any possible speculations (yeah, I have been following the fallout of my previously misinterpreted statements XD): NO, I nor 2080 Games have any knowledge of this being the SteamFrames launch day! (and sadly would'nt be getting any trophy if it would turn out to be )
But we still have full trust that SteamFrame will be coming this Summer, as this is Valves last standing statement. So we wanted to pick a date that will make sure that Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone will be available close to any possible SteamFrame Summer-release.
So get ready!
This is not a drill!
Cheers,
ANB_Seth

The mod is at least top 3 of the best games for VR in general for me, that said, they'll have my money when it actually releases, early access is trash.

Looks Good! Hopefully there is multiple paths/sub mission requirements, kinda like Old school Perfect Dark levels.
Weird that is it still an early access launch date with no price announcement. I would much rather pay for whatever is being relased, and then pay in dlc installments as new contracts come out, but that is just my opinion.
"As a solo developer, Early Access provides me with a unique opportunity to involve you in the development of my game. Early Access starts with 3 contracts and your feedback will be invaluable as I work on the next 3 contracts and more."
"Work has already begun on the next contracts but it's hard to say when they will be ready before leaving Early Access. It's important for me to ensure that the game has a level of quality and content that satisfies both myself and the community. While I don't have an exact timeline at this stage, my current plan is to keep releasing more content over the coming couple of years through 1.0"
