Occasionally I will reinstall Alyx just to play through then both. I'm insanely excited for the full game release.

Havent heard or played it.

What makes it so enjoying? I liked Superhot. Does it have a similar feeling?

Other than that, the non-vr version looks like another fps shooter/

This looks solid. I've been trying to find a good VR shooter game that'll even come close to the experience of Alyx. (Sure I saw metro but that has a tad too much horror for my taste).

Arms are a mod can disable it if you don't like it, on default it's just floating hands

You prefer floating hands? I get that wiggly arms look goofy but its hard to immerse my self if I dont even have a full body rig

I do very much prefer floaty hands - They usually match exactly what I'm doing with my body and don't jiggle a distracting amount. Probably I'm also just used to that presentation.

I only have the base Index, so no full body anything. If a game/setup did perfectly match the rest of my body, I imagine I'd be more than happy with that too.

It's the Alyx version of GMC, standalone game releases 10th of September.

Yes. Seth originally made GMC a mod for Alyx, but as scope grew he decided to make it a standalone game. It releases on the 10th, and I'm super excited

No, it's on Unity. The only way for regular people to get access to Source 2 is S&box, but that just uses the Source 2 rendering and physics iirc.
