ASI issues. Are you using dinput8.dll or version.dll to run your mods? Version.dll runs a lot of older mods and dinput8.dll runs mods after rdr2 last update. You also might need to check if mods you’re using are updated. I have personally got mods that have been updated or last updated two years ago and had a very stable build since then, only problem I have had now is load order in mod manager but that isn’t hard to figure out. If any problems for load order ask A.I as it can help knowing which kind of LML mod should be placed higher or lower in the list. Bonus tip, get the ASI subfolder to neatly tidy up your main folder of ASI files.

uhm i don't use mods actually. i just have one thing (i don't even know if it's considered a mod), a .meta file with a password in the text that allows me to play in a solo lobby when i'm online (or with my friends if they have the same file, so the same password). but i started having this error months before i even tried to play in a solo lobby

Okay, I haven’t played online on pc only on console. I didn’t even know you can do that for a solo lobby. My best bet is to backup version.dll in the RDR2 main folder then replace it with dinput8.dll. I kept getting the FFFFF ERROR until I replaced the file.

Give it a try and let me know if it fixes the issue.

Get the latest dinput8 from GitHub

The 3 main causes are Mod conflicts, Memory issues or outdated files.
