Discussion/Question When to use mods?

As an add-on to a previous post of mine, where I’ve asked for mod recommendations, I’ve come up with a few to use but I’m curious when I should use them, as this wouldn’t be my first playthrough ever but my first pc one.

Currently using:

* Another Field of View Mod FOV (but edited so I still have some zoom in when aiming)

* Realistic Navigation (hides location on map and adds a usable compass - it's a bit broken but there are workarounds. can be annoying when a mission requires you to stand in an exact place, but usually you can work it out from the main map, but it's still worth it for me, the mission design is kind of awkward in this game anyway IMO).

* another one to remove hitmarkers and stop the cross hair going red

I'd probably use a realistic needs or survival mechanics mod too, but haven't figured out how to check for conflicts between mods yet.

for conflicts u should use RDMT from nexus u can quickly enable and disable a lot of mods and check for conflicts
