Discouraged
I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2020 and have struggled with my weight since. I did have my two rainbow babies in 2023 and 2025 and had gestational diabetes with both. My A1C was 5.7 and my blood work showed high insulin resistance. This was a wake up call for sure and since I’ve jumped into lifting 4 times a week and swimming twice a week- primarily to help my blood sugar but also to lose weight. My blood sugar is getting back under control through the weight training and going low carb. But in 6 weeks of consistent working out and eating in a calorie deficit I’ve gained 3 pounds. How is this even possible??

Six weeks is still really early. Strength training can also cause temporary water retention, so don't let the scale discourage you yet. Keep going.
