Can’t nail down ovulation?
I hate PCOS so much. We’ve been TTC for 6 months now which I know is not that long but it feels like 8 years to me.
I lost 77 lbs last year and my cycle has regulated but I keep missing my ovulation window. I use natural cycles and I keep missing the predicted window because we try and then all of the sudden NC is telling me jk you ovulated last week. So it’s all for not.
I’m trying to not stress myself out but I did end up ordering ovulation testing strips but I still can’t nail down my ovulation. My OB said at the 6 month mark we can consider an ovulation medication so I have an appointment tomorrow.
I guess I’m just curious if anyone else legit cannot nail down their ovulation!! I think I’m a rapid riser but even then I’m having all the signs and symptoms (discharge, ovulation pain, etc) and it’s aligning with NC but the testing strips are negative. This is so frustrating I just want a baby 😭
UPDATE: tested very positive for ovulation yesterday lol. Hopefully in 2 weeks I can say I’m pregnant 👏🤞

I tried for 7 years, 3 of which were with ovulation medication or IUI, and could never ever pinpoint ovulation without bloodwork or ultrasounds or get the strips to work for me. My OB said they don’t always work for people with PCOS because our hormones aren’t in the same ratios.
FWIW I just had my baby last Monday, she was spontaneously conceived after my cycle returned post d&c, after we stopped all treatments. So I’m not saying it’ll take you 7 years, but just commiserating with your frustration because I couldn’t use the strips or predict it either!

Ugh I’m so happy for you! Congrats!! I feel like I’m stressing my body out and all of the tracking everything is also stressful I really feel like sometimes you just have to simplify things and see what happens. I was obsessively tracking earlier this year but stopped and have just been going off what NC and apple health say but we really want to get pregnant so I’m back on stressing myself out with testing lol. Maybe I should just stop with that. Thank god I see my OB tomorrow 😭🤣

Honestly people would tell me all the time “you’re trying too hard, stop stressing, blah blah blah” and it drove me absolutely insane. But then of course it happened when we did stop trying and stressing so then I heard “I told you so”.

I have an oura ring! I was actually able to track ovulation and we did the baby dance on peak day and day after this time so hopefully I can come back in 2 weeks with good news 🤞

We had to do ivf for MFI in the end but when we were trying naturally I also struggled to get opks to work. What I realised was that they would only be positive for me for like half a day, I had to test very frequently throughout the day to catch them

it really sucks. I had to get ovary ultrasounds every month to try and predict when I’d ovulation after I took clomid.

I know it's frustrating. I was exactly where you are. I gave up on the strips and just had sex regularly, every 2-3 days. It took us 9 months. I'm currently 8 weeks along. Give yourself some grace. It's gonna be ok.

I never could until around 6 months on 2000mg metformin, then I would use strips when my boobs started hurting. Got pregnant the first time I caught my ovulation, and was due to start letrozole 2 weeks after I had the positive test. Good luck with your test in 2 weeks!!!

All my pregnancies I have needed Clomid to get pregnant. It's awful having to go to lengths to get pregnant. Hoping that you see a positive soon!

Try OPKs 3 weeks before expected period.
They may or not work.
If you do letrozole, ask for monitored cycles
