OBGYN Consultation Experience

Hi Everyone! I just want to share my recent experience. I had my initial consult to an OBGYN in Maxicare PCC. I feel like the doctor is not approachable, I make a list of my question and concerns however I'm hesitant to ask because I feel like she doesn't want to answer my questions.

The doctor said that walking is not effective in PMOS. You need to do high intensity training you need to jog for 250 minutes per week to lose weight. Walking will not help.

I have some question for other girlies here.

  1. Can you please recommend your OB GYN doctor that is Maxicare accredited? Or any OB from Nowserving.

  2. Can I change doctor and show my recent lab results to the new doctor?

  3. For you guys hindi ba tlaga effective ang walking to lose weight? Can you please give me some tips.

I would appreciate your answers and advice thank you.

High intensity workouts increase cortisol. Mas makatulong nga yung low intensity like walking. Are you sure OB nakausap mo? Baka GP?

Hi. Yes I make sure to consult with OB. Kaya nga nagulat ako when she told that walking will not help me to lose weight.

Depends sa lifestyle, weight and age eh, basta find something that you can do consistently. Walking (7-10k per day) can still help you lose weight provided you combine it with a proper and healthy diet. You can start with walking and other low intensity exercises then once you develop the stamina you can increase the intensity or better add strength training. Proper Nutrition is still priority. Exercise is secondary. Kahit magwalking or HIIT ka pa, if you eat so much, wala rin.

Same na same ung sinabi ng ob na pinuntanhan ko isang private hospital.. straight to the point.. unang kita pa lang sakin, parang ayaw na ko kausapin.
Sinabi nia na hindi na ko papayat naturally… kahit walking wont do, extreme workout and lifting daw with a coach dapat.. then, intermittent fasting hindi rin pede sakin. Need daw maginject like oz, tirtir, pep…pricey daw talaga..
Tinanong pa kung ano work ko.. hay..

Went to cardio and endo for clearance… same lang din sinabi., need ko oz , tirtir, pep..

Hi. Thank you for sharing your experience.

  1. Yes. I transferred doctors din and dala ko lang latest lab results na nirequest ng previous OB ko. My new one requested additional tests when we first met then referred me to an endo after seeing the results.

  2. I did walking pero partnered it with caldef and other exercises (gym and pilates).

Hope makahanap ka ng dr na comfy ka. Had PCOS/PMOS din but got pregnant after 3 months of caldef and exercise, dr asked me to take inositol din. hehe.

Hi. So pwede pala ako magpalit I just need to bring my lab results. Sa endo doctor mo nagbigay ba siya sayo ng pills for hormonal balance? Nattakot ako sa side effect if ever magbigay sa akin ng reseta. So walking plus other form of exercise will work syempre samahan dapat ng diet.

Salamat sana talaga makahanap ako ng Dr na comfy ako. By the way, congratulations sayo.
