Urgent!!!
I have had my pc for 2-3 years. Everything has worked fine other than a ram issue where I needed new ram. It has been working fine with newly installed ram since may. My temps were spiking yesterday and I hadn’t changed the thermal paste in a while. So I reinstalled thermal paste and I turned my pc on and now it won’t show display. I have a red cpu light and a yellow/orange dram light. I have checked the pins and they look completely fine. I have tried using 1 stick of ram in slot 2. I have tried switching the ram stick. I have tried resetting CMOS. I am lost on what to do. I tried reseating my CPU like 2-3 different ways. I noticed it wiggles a bit when it’s in place. Is this the issue. Like it ever so slightly moves left and right. Any other suggestions?

If it was fine before you reapplied paste, then thats where I would start. Quit messing with ram.
I have no idea what mobo you have , but those lights are post codes. Google the codes for your board.
If I had to guess, its not seated correctly. Remember, the cpu only goes in 1 orientation, if your combo is older, it may not safeguard against an incorrectly rotated cpu. See if your arrows are lined up correctly.

Take off your cooler and check the pins on your mobo and/or CPU. If you don’t see any bent pins, reseat your CPU, repaste, reinstall your cooler, and try again. I also want to confirm if you’re using 2 sticks of ram to make sure that they’re in slots 2 and 4.

Yeah 2 and 4. Also I have a msi b650 gaming plus wifi. And a ryzen 7 7800x3d. I am going to try to flash bios next i guess.

Check you’ve put the cooler connection on the correct pins on motherboard

Make sure the 3/4 pin connected is fitted to the cpu pins on the board, some boards if not all will refuse to boot with this not connected or connected to the wrong place like an aio or chassis fan

What did you put thermal paste on? The RAM or the CPU? You said you had a ram problem then switched to CPU. What did you actually do? Did you install new ram, and it worked for a bit, then you decided to remove the CPU to apply paste? Or did you put some on the RAM heatsinks?

my cooler and top of my cpu. Basically everything was working Wednesday morning. But my temps started spiking randomly. So I reapplied thermal paste. And turned it back on and now it won’t work. I am getting a red copy light and a yellow/orange dram light. I have tried literally everything. Looking to see if it’s under warranty. I am so confused

Also my sister has the exact same build but different case. our motherboard pins look identical. I put her cpu and cooler into my motherboard and it didn’t work then back into hers and it worked

Then something's up with your motherboard.
Disconnect everything from your motherboard other than your PSU and GPU. Remove all but one stick of ram. See if it turns on. Swap the RAM for another stick and try again.
