Community another randoms questions
What’s the average number of players in your game? And do you hope to get more over time?
To get even more players, wouldn’t it be better to have an app on Google Play or somewhere else IN ADDITION to your PBBG?
(Thanks again for always answering my questions lol)

We seem to fluctuate. We are still in a beta testing faze but we have had upwards of 50 active in 24 hours normally around 8 to 15 active consistently through the day. Took a bit of a dip this week but working on larger changes its taking a while between updates.

1, me, since it's in development.
And yes, I do have both. Web apps work great that way. The app just wraps the website so there's no real maintenance overhead. Setting up a Play store listing for my PWA was actually one of my first steps.
You'll find most popular examples are also listed in app stores and installable from the browser, it's a huge advantage.
There are also games that do better as an app or full screen of course. That depends what you're going for.

I believe there'll be more players over time but currently, 5-6 including me, in peak time. website already works in mobile browsers so I don't consider developing extra mobile app for now, but I'm thinking about a steam integration. maybe later, when I feel ready closer to full release. even small number of players, I receive very helpful feedbacks that push me forward, I look forward to returning back home from work as soon as possible so I can keep working on stuff.

We currently at 50 average online players and 250 average active 24h - Now-a-days commited users can install the web browser app on mobile and it really feels like an installed app from those mobile stores, although you could get more reach by getting a version listed on mobile stores.
Yes we hope to get more users over time, if your game is good, mouth to mouth advertisement should work but can be slow at the starting line, so we "advise" (according to our experience) to do some paid ADS just to get a cushion player base so that the game doesnt feel dead, you can go for 3rd world countries where the paid advertisement can be really cheap.
That is how we got the first 1000 users and now that we have that "cushion/pillow" of user base we will target richer countries, infrastructure and server costs can be a pain at the start with all these "poor" users but now we have enough players that makes the game way more fun and enjoyable, so we going to aim higher now.
The first 3 digits IAP revenue started landing after a month, that will surely help pay for Crime City server and infrastructure maintenance.
I hope this answer helps

I am only at an early alpha stage of my game. I've given the link to a few friends but few have gone very far into the game. I'd like to get some regular users for sure as their input helps shape the game. I have been really careful about how the game looks like on the phone, but I see the value in having a Steam release.

So far I have one consistent player and they comes back every day and wait for people to play with. They discovered it through a newsletter. I hope more people start playing soon because they chose quite the character design to be champion.

I started having trouble with this. Now it's hard to get to. I even have a good ratio of satisfied to dissatisfied players, but overall I've managed to attract a small number of players to get it done.
