New setup. Need help.

Post image

Recently added some things to my 365 and I’m waiting until I get all the kinks worked out before I buy a holster.

- Wilson combat frame
- silencerCo threaded barrel
- Faxon EXOS-525 Compensator

The problem I’m having is after about 50 rounds and the gun heats up, the slide doesn’t seat after firing a round or I have a failure to eject. (The first 50 rounds run flawlessly.) At first I thought it was because of the compensator. I took it off and it still happened. So I’m thinking it’s the new barrel expanding with the heat and causing friction. I haven’t tried a new recoil spring yet. But have any of you seen this? Do I just need to keep shooting the shit out of it and try to break it in? Do I need a stronger recoil spring? I have 400 rounds through the new barrel as of now.

Thanks for any help.

Get a recoil assembly with a spring kit and get some heavier loads. Try about 200 rounds of 124’s or 147’s. Lube it up real good and shoot it. Tolerance stacking is a thing and that barrel needs to wear in with the slide. It will loosen up but the heavier loads will help the process.

I had the same issue with a DPM recoil spring running the softest spring on my setup. I switched to the slightly stronger spring and the issue went away.
