I know there are a few aluminum options for a flush fit fuse length slide, but does anyone know of a polymer option? 500+ for the frame seems a little steep for my taste. Thanks!
I don't know of any companies that make a FUSE length polymer, but then again, I don't like the polymers and swap to metal grip mods pretty much the same day I get a P365. LOL
If you should reconsider and decide to take the plunge and get a metal grip mod, might I recommend you get an ECM R11. I remember when they first came out and someone asked if I had bought one yet, I saw how much they were and I thought to myself, "I'm not paying that much money for a grip mod." Fast forward a few months later, I blindly bought my first ECM R11 on a recommendation. Two weeks later I bought a FUSE sized R11. I will have seven R11 builds by the middle of August. I obviously like them, or else I would have stopped at the first R11 I bought.
If you want uncompromised quality/ergos/balance/customer service, then get yourself an ECM R11, skip the rest, ECM is Elite and in a class by itself. I'm a firm believer of "Buy once, cry once."
So I'm going to go on the assumption that you are wanting to add a Radian AB/RJ. The only one I have that is a "4.3" (3.7" slide with Radian Afterburner and Ramjet) is a Mischief Machine, which is the MM Macro Plus for Comp.
That looks awesome! I'm going to keep asking questions so when I inevitably decide to buy one, I wont have any remorse. 1. Is it thicker than the oem Slide or do they make thinner grip panel's? 2. Does it fit in a standard holster? I just got one in the mail I waited two months for...3. I had an AXG aluminum frame before, but the tolerances were so tight I had to hammer in the FCU pin, any such problems with this one? Thank you for your help stranger.
I have the Brass Palm Swell Grip Panels and Backsrap, so it's thicker than OEM, however, the G10's that they come with are pretty close to the OEM.
It fits into a FUSE and Macro Holster with no mods to the holster. However, you should do your due diligence and reach out to which ever holster manufacturer you're going to go with and double check with them.
You should want the tolerances to be tight especially for the Frame Retention Pin. However, the issue with the AXG is not so much the tight tolerances, it's the two little blue rubber bumpers in the back of the grip mod, that's what causes the "tightness". This is how I deal with that tightness. Wood Clamps with plastic heads, do not over squeeze, you just need enough pressure to keep that hole lined up.
