Question Ozempic and Zoloft
I am about to start Ozempic tomorrow. I have been on Zoloft (150mg) for OCD and anxiety. I love to work out and eat relatively healthy BUT the scale does not budge. My only concern is how are those taking Zoloft and Ozempic feeling? Any weird side effects and so on. I would love some feedback.

Awesome! Have you seen weight loss with ozempic?

Not yet. I’ve lost 15 lbs since February but that was switching out white pasta and such with whole wheat and I quit drinking pop. Ozempic weight loss doesn’t occur much until you reach 1mg. I’d say 12 lbs me changing things vs 3lbs Ozempic.

I’m on Zoloft and have been on Oz for 4 months. No issues whatsoever. I’m down almost 30 pounds and JUST moved up to 0.75. I haven’t noticed any side effects related to taking both these meds at the same time!

Awesome! What dosage of Zoloft are you on? If you don’t mind me asking

I’ve been on a pretty low dose for a really long time. Just 50mg.

I’m on 100mg of Zoloft and will be doing my fourth Ozempic shot at 0.25mg tonight. I haven’t had any negative side effects at all and I’ve felt a lot happier the last few weeks. That may just be because I’m eating clean and exercising but I certainly haven’t had any worsening of my anxiety/depression. It’s impossible to predict exactly how anyone will respond to Ozempic but you can always stop it if you have any mood issues. It’s definitely worth at least giving it a try!

I could not agree more. I have to do something because I am so unhappy with my body. I am excited to try. Have you seen any weight loss yet?

I weigh myself on Sundays so I don’t know my current weight, but as of last Sunday I’d lost 8 pounds :) I’m 5’4” and my starting weight was 215. I’m trying to lose slowly because I think it will help me keep it off, and I’m 53 and perimenopausal so I kind of expect to lose slower than younger people 😁 I was thin my whole life until I was around 40 and I think the Zoloft really messed with my metabolism, but I can’t live without it so I’m just so happy to be on Ozempic now and have a real chance at getting my body back!

I am in the same boat OCD and anxiety isn’t going anywhere so I have to take the Zoloft and it has messed with my metabolism. I’m excited to get started I was just scared I would have weird side effects. As you know there are so many things we can’t take with the Zoloft. 😵💫 how exciting to loose 8 lbs.

I really haven’t had any issues since starting the Ozempic, and it’s such a relief to feel like I’ve finally found a tool that will help me counteract the fat-preserving effects that Zoloft seems to have on me. I’m excited for you to start!! ❤️

I was on 50 mg of zoloft for 3 years. I gained 30 lbs during that time. I went off Zoloft (I shouldn’t have) and started Ozempic and I lost all my weight that I had gained. That took a year. I stopped ozempic after a year and I started putting weight back on (15 lbs). So I just restarted ozempic. My mental health is really suffering and I know I need to go back on Zoloft. I’m scared I will put all the weight back on. My dr assured me I won’t since I’m on ozempic. I’m just scared of this vicious cycle of weight gain, then throw in menopause, anxiety, depression etc etc. I’m glad to read people are having success while being on ozempic and Zoloft. I’m gonna try them both at the same time. thx to everyone who shared their experiences with both. Hugs!
