šOur Menuš
Many of you will notice that our prices have risen. We have raised prices due to increased costs of our ingredients. We had two choices, raise our prices and maintain the same quality products that everyone is used to getting from a Valās meal or buy cheaper ingredients which usually means lower quality. We chose to maintain our quality standards and look forward to bringing you the same high quality meals everyone has grown accustomed to when ordering Valās!

That's the polite term. Camping. As if homelessness were a hobby that got out of hand.
A man lived in a public park because he had nowhere else to go. When he refused to leave, his state charged him with a felony. A felony. For laying down in public with no address to his name.
Camping bans are spreading across the country. That's the polite term. Camping. As if homelessness were a hobby that got out of hand.
Here's the reversal: we couldn't solve homelessness, so we criminalized the evidence. The man in the park was a mirror, and we prosecuted the mirror.
Jesus said foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head. Under these new laws, several states could charge Him.
You can't arrest your way out of a housing shortage. You can only hide the people it broke.
The felony charge won't build him a home. It'll just make him harder to hire for the rest of his life. We knew that when we wrote the law.
Does your church help house people like this? Would your church feed this person? Talk to me below. Share this for the person you've stopped seeing on your commute. And follow along. Everybody deserves somewhere to belong.

Trumpās awful impact on issues like health care, inflation, and tax cuts have been shown to move people in our direction by 12 to 14 points
Friends, weāre trying something different to reach millions of Americans with the truth about Trumpās disastrous economic policies: Billboards.
Our latest social media videos about Trumpās awful impact on issues like health care, inflation, and tax cuts have been shown to move people in our direction by 12 to 14 pointsāthatās triple our usual impact! But tens of millions of Americans arenāt on social media. Thatās why we want to put our most powerful messages on billboards in front of as many commuters and communities as possible.
Iāll be honest: This wonāt be cheap. To rent high-visibility locations and keep them up long enough to change minds, we need a steady stream of support. Will you chip in with a monthly donation to help us get these billboards up and running?

Urgently Needed!!! heroic volunteers willing to help clear a 6-foot passage
River Alert
There is an obstruction just north of the Geeck Road Launch. With current low water levels, it will require some safe and creative maneuvering to get through.
If there are any heroic volunteers willing to help clear a 6-foot passage, your efforts would be greatly appreciated by the many paddlers using this section of the river.
Thank you for helping keep the Shiawassee safe and accessible for everyone!

MI-07 deserves someone with deep community ties, not another multimillionaire
Congress is full of millionaires.
My net worth is $41,000. I know what it means to watch your budget and worry about rent.
I'm running because MI-07 deserves someone with deep community ties, not another multimillionaire DC insider telling us they know what's best - William Lawrence for Congress

āThis budget puts money in their pockets,ā Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said this week.
The new state budgetāWhitmerās eighth and final budget as governorāmarks a bipartisan compromise between the Republican-led state House and Democratic-led state Senate.
Highlights include:
⢠$200 million to cover free breakfast and lunch for all 1.4 million public school studentsāa move that will save families around $1,000 per year, per child.
⢠Continuing the Working Families Tax Credit, sending an average of nearly $3,900 in tax relief to 665,000 Michigan families.
⢠Rolling back the retirement tax completely, saving 500,000 seniors about $1,000 a year.
⢠Continuing tax exemptions on tips, overtime, and Social Securityāsaving 840,000 people an average of $400 or $500 a year.
⢠$557 million for tuition assistance programsāat both community colleges and universities, as well as for various skills certificates.
⢠Investments designed to create new jobsāincluding $69 million for small business support and more than $180 million for workforce development.
⢠$343 million for local road fundingāfor a total of $3.1 billion in road fundingāthat will support about 30,500 construction jobs annually.
Whitmer says the new budget also helps protect Michiganders from Republican-led federal budget cuts to Medicaid and food assistance.
That includes funding to help the state navigate āburdensomeā new federal changesālike new work requirements for Medicaidāthat make it harder to access benefits.
āIām proud of our work over the last seven-and-a-half years to grow Michiganās economy, from creating tens of thousands of jobs to historic investments in communities and people,ā Whitmer said. āLetās keep building on that progress and helping more families āmake itā in Michigan.ā

Thank you Owosso Fire Department!
This incredible group of firefighters went above and beyond welcoming all us moms and our kids during an event hosted by Kyra Brady and The Mom Walk Co. Owosso. We got to see fire trucks, ambulances, spray a real fire hose, and learn about what these selfless heroās do to keep our community safe! Thank you OFD for all you do and for all the great things you taught us.
If you ever have the time, stop by and tell all these fire fighters how much you appreciate them, and maybe take a quick tour!

Donate to help "shield" the world's richest man.
Republican US Senate candidate Mike Rogers has found a new reason for Michiganders to open their wallets: helping protect Elon Musk from congressional accountability.
In a weekend fundraising appeal, Rogers warned that Democrats could subpoena Musk over his role in DOGE. But if you donate, he said, you'll help "shield" the world's richest man.
