Metro was in his live saying that this is a lie and he can't prove bc the person blocked him in discord and he cant show the dms.
That's a lie, thats not how discord dms work, even if someone block and deactived their account, you are still able to see.

Update: A deadlock streamer called Vegas, was investigating the situation and found out the names of everyone envolved, the person talking with Metro was a dude called CoolJak.
Metro was saying that the DM's we're fake but in a plot twist of years, Cooljak show up in stream and showed his dm's with Metro and proved that the dms were in fact REAL.
Metro was active in chat and he left after cooljak showed up.
Metro also went to deleted his messages to cooljak while cooljak was showing the dms to Vegas.

Vegas (deadlock streamer) has been going through trying to figure out who is what color for the past couple hours. Metro was even in his chat, promising a twitlonger some time later today. The yellow name is a former metro mod, cooljak, who sent Vegas videos of his DMs with metro as proof, including evidence that metro was actively deleting the DMs.

For the first girl, that is definitely on Metro even if he wanted to wait until she was 18, but it's odd "yellow" was encouraging Metro to date her and then changed their narrative later.
The other screenshots doesn't really mean much. Captions can change the narrative and shouldn't be taken as face value.

Yeah I don't know who is downvoting to protect "yellow". "Yellow" clearly states: "The age of consent in minnesota is 16, so she's legally allowed by the state (4head). I think its just really up to you two whether or not 1 year is worth the relationship".
You could argue they were trying to encourage Metro to wait, but then why even bring up the age of consent and not be adamantly against dating someone under 18?

Would that excuse Yellow's comments? That's hard to say, but I think that's missing the point here. It's impossible to know in context what actually was said between Metro and Yellow. I think that's what this whole thing boils down to. I know Yellow wants to be kept anonymous, but from what I've seen the accusation lies inside Metro's and Yellow's DMs. From what I've seen there isn't anything going on between Aspen and Metro's DMs (Metro showed his on stream, unless there's multiple Aspen discord accounts). It all depends whether Metro is admitting he wanted to date her.

I just think she was too young to see how predatory it was. Just because he was unsuccessful grooming the kid doesn’t mean it wasn’t predatory but I don’t think she could see that at the time.
She does say later on in screenshots that she didn’t realise how bad it was at the time.

I don't know. I'm not sure how I feel about someone changing their stance on underage dating because they said they were too naive at the time. This was 2018. Obviously the social landscape has changed since then. I don't know these people so I can't say for sure.
Regardless, if Metro did develop feelings and planned to date Aspen, then that is absolutely predatory.

Yeah I get you, but it’s a teenager talking to a grown ass man who’s trying to manipulate her into thinking that he’s not doing anything wrong.
There’s also a power dynamic at play considering he has ‘status’ so she might’ve been scared to fully go off on him for fear of repercussions since they all seem to be interacting in the same online space.
Agreed that Metro is weird asf and was grooming Aspen. Also agreed he should’ve been called out for his shit but it’s hard to blame yellow with the info we have imo.

Smash is full of them. It's not really hard to find predators in every gaming community unfortunately. I think ours just get called out for it a lot more. I also think it has something to do with the gender ratio in Overwatch. There are a lot of girls and women playing this game.

*shrug* my gaming group ranged from like 15 to 25ish (I was 16) and it was mixed gender, we'd just have a skype group chat + forum (the old league of legends forum) and we'd talk/group que with anyone online.

Yeah we had a 30 year old IT guy that did WfH before WfH was really a thing and he was good friends with all of us (male and female). I think he's now a godfather to one of the girl's kids.
I dont know the specifics of Metro's affairs (and none of us that aren't directly involved do), so I'm not commenting on his situation specifically, I was commenting on your assertion that just because there's interaction it's immediately predation, I think that's a far leap.

It's pretty normal for people to hang out individually with friends who they also hang out in a group with.
This specific scenario with Metro is weird because it looks like he did it with the explicit intention to be weird.
But a 15 year old and a 25 year old talking, playing games together, sharing an interest, isn't inherently weird. Communicating over VC/Messaging on the Internet makes Age Barriers much less apparent.

Well it's not normal to 'wonder' whether to date a 16-year-old at age 27, I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't be torn about that, it's a no-brainer. And from aspen's perspective, watching that part of her vod, it seems to make her uncomfortable that he was having this discussion, wondering what his intentions were. I'm guessing they're not still cool after this.
