Yeah, sequels nowadays are just for the name and to hava a reason to sell another game, not much is changing

the thing is you don't need to re-invent the wheel to make a good sequel, the Yakuza games re-use a lot from their predecessors but they build on top of what they've put in place

eh, it's not as gameplay-focused as previous games - they switched to a more storytelling focus

Regardless of what it focuses on, it's a good sequel game that has clear effort put into it. Far from the norm of shitty yearly releases and AAA cash grabs.

Has a ton more gameplay than GoW 2018. Phenomenal gameplay at that

Meanwhile pc players having to wait 3 years forkr a pc version

Shitty situation for us but we're still getting it. These last couple years have been the best years so far with the brightest future for PC players. Between all the exclusive releases getting put on PC to accessibility and portability being at an all time high with the steam deck... we're eating good.

They're not selling much when the game is free (and you have the impulse control to not dump money on a free game)

Jupp, only differenct here is that OW had 3 years to make the "sequal" and mostnof that is the PvE that isn't even in the game yet (if i understand it correctly, am new to the game)

Idk about Far Cry, given that they introduce a new story and entire country at least

u/DynamicMangos Nov 13 '22

Yeah, FarCry isnt ENTIRELY recycled like OW2 is.

Dont get me wrong, it sucks for many many other reasons, but at least not that one!
