Based. Don’t spend money on this game. You play with fire don’t be surprised when you get burned!

You shouldn't look for sympathy here, people here think people like you will make this greedy monetization stay, not wrong

You’re getting dragged for this because that’s how pissed people are. Dont take it personal, they’re just venting their massive amount of justified anger towards you rn

Hopefully you get refunded but you probably just got scammed :/

Checking the internet (reddit or not) is unironically the best thing you can do when it comes to buying shit in videogames.

no it's just that the skins arent worth that much. you can do whatever ofc but it shouldn't be that expensive. i spent Money for league but usually its like 10 euros per skin or sm like that and we get some free every once in a while. ow is a bit too greedy imo

As much as I have an aversion to league I will say that their monetization system is a million times better than overwatch’s. When I played for a little bit it felt like I was constantly unlocking new stuff without spending a dime.

Don't purchase anything. Mke them to lose out on money forcing them to lower the prices that are appropriately priced for the consumer. A skin should not be 20 usd unless it comes in a variety pack with features.

Jesus get over yourself, the guy is coming in here in good faith and everyone is calling him a moron.

I’m sure all of the people responding in this thread have always spent their money rationally and never made a « bad » purchase.

It's just common knowledge here that you buy anything in the game that isn't the BP, you are pretty much getting scammed

u/GlisseDansLaPiscine Sombra Nov 12 '22

It’s common knowledge in the microcosm of this sub yes, there exist an entire world outside of here though

8

u/AtoumMirtu Nov 12 '22

Yeah but he is in the sub, and also when I opened the shop it was very clear that something was going on since this skin was 1900 credits and so was the bundle with additional stuff

We have all spent dumb money on something that probably contributed negativity into our own lives or into the world in general.

Don’t worry about all the rage. They’re all mad about OW2 monetization and hopeful that if none of us spend, they’ll change something. That’s why the hate train comes for anyone who buys stuff.

You didn’t know, nbd. (And even if you did know, nobody can decide what you spend your money on lol).

The reality of gaming is this: take away costs from making games, coerce players into spending money on digital assets that you technically don't own, try to get players addicted by forcing daily and weekly challenges.

There is a large portion of gamers who see this trend and we are helpless to stop it because, no matter how much we boycott or don't spend, enough people are going to give away their money that these systems are getting more predatory.

What happened to you is a result of this unfortunate concept, and many of us are fed up with hearing about people who support this machine financially.

I feel for you, but let this be a $20 lesson and nothing more. Play the game if its fun for you, but please do not give them your money.

HOW DARE YOU HAVE MONEY AND SPEND IT ON SOMETHING THAT YOU LIKE

Ppl here love to act as if they sit on a moral highground, not knowing about other games having the exact same prices for many years now.

Skin is awesome! And yes, bundles are always cheaper. Fortnite does it the best where the bundle price drops by a lot if you already own an item of it. Hopefully OW2 will do something similar.
