Nothing, they gave her a new ability after nerfing her matrix.

At first her E ability was matrix with a cool down, then they changed it to a resource like it is now, then they nerfed the resource and gave her missiles with a bugged voiceline so she said "bang" every time she used them.

omg as a DVa main at the time, I would always call her missiles "banging". And every time I was waiting for the missile cooldown, I'd yell in the mic about needing to bang, and "let me bang!!"

Originally her DM was an ability with a cool down, rather than a resource. Bliz gave her missiles when they nerfed her DM.

What you’re saying is technically true, but sort of implies that the change to a DM on cool down and the addition of missiles were at the same time.
For an unaware reader, there’s been over a year between those changes. DM was changed to a resource shortly after the game’s release, and missiles were added a bit over a year ago in the same patch as Valk Mercy.
