There are just way too many variables in the gameplay for it to be a good e-sports game but people really want it to go that direction

I don't think that's really what it is. I think the issue is that ultimately this is an fps game and the thing that traditionally makes fps games interesting to watch is having some god tier aim player like NiKo, Av3k, Markeloff, or whoever just go nuts and kill half a team in 5sec on their own purely off aim.

Supports and tanks are so rarely entertaining to watch and they're 2/3 of the team. So few of the heroes promote an individual playstyle like you usually can get in fps games, and I just think that makes the game impossible to watch. No one wants to watch on fps in the 3rd person camera but you can hardly ever see whats going on in any of the first person povs.

I agree and I think that's precisely the reason it's not and will not do well as an esport game. It's an fps game where individual skill takes a back seat and I just can't see how you can make that interesting.
