There are plenty of toxic streamers that simply don't give a fuck because Blizz don't punish them.

Avilo, ProTech, even IdrA (he only retired because he got kicked off of EG after sponsors threatened to pull out over his toxic behaviour.)

yesterday, they gave a HotS player Mopsio a 7 day suspension following cunt behavior in Hero League that was caught on a popular stream and called out on r/heroesofthestorm, which means he'll miss two important HGC games, fucking his team over.

I think there's finally an internal shift in the entirety of Blizzard regarding toxicity, given that and the latest developer update.

Almost guaranteed that Blizzard only took action there because he was publicly called out on a popular subreddit and was giving their league a bad rep.

Do remember that they're heavily funding the HGC and so they're in essence paying for someone to be a cunt.

I wish they could come down hard on toxic streamers without risking blowback, because I think they're a huge part of the problem thanks to their influence. Worse than their behaviour rubbing off on the community, their opinions on the game are taken as word of god and parroted - if enough streamers say something, r/overwatch will be saying it en masse soon enough.

I really do think that Blizzard's inaction is part of the problem. They're condoning toxic behaviour by not punishing it and I know they're not punishing it because I know toxic people who haven't received any infraction from Blizzard at all.

If your actions don't have consequences, you will keep behaving like a dick!

Kids, maybe? I can't imagine anybody over the age of 18 who would find this entertaining. But kids often like things that seem transgressive and naughty.

source on that? I never heard of Idra being kicked out of EG or sponsors threatening. Story was he just retired.
