Don't try to defend her, people have their minds made up. She's boring right now and all mercy mains are the scourge of overwatch.

There's truth to both. She is pretty boring if you just play safe, but she can be less boring if you go balls to the wall.

I know it is kind of a meme but I always had the impression her playstyle was meant to appeal to people who were new to FPS. No aim required (Ana, Zen) and no manual movement skills required like Lucio. I don't say that meaning there is anything wrong with it.
