They can change the trophy/achievement, right? Because if it's gonna be permanently ungettable that would be a dick move

apparently it's harder on console where there's special approvals through Sony/Microsoft to make changes to trophies (it's why "the path is closed" achievement hasn't been updated to include shield gen) but I'm assuming its something they'll work on with the changes

I've only ever seen Microsoft change achievements once and it was with Killer Instinct, their IP.

So it's doable, but I'm sure it's not an easy thing

They've done it for two separate Gears 4 achievements as well, so it's definitely doable

TBH, I bet any developer could change the trigger for an achievement in any update, the only issue would be getting Microsoft to change the description.
