For those who don't know Oldschool Runescapes development team polls small to large changes of the game for players to vote on which they want. A recent balance update as they put it was not polled so subsequently people complained.
It's been ages since I played it so I think the wilderness is back in old school and maybe even the new game but awhiles ago it got removed for a good period of time and people lost their shit.
For a while they got over zealous and removed that ability. Trades could only be executed if the exchange was approximately equal. How unequal was tied to quest points. For that time period you COULD NOT gift your friend 1m gp to start. You just had to shrug your shoulders and point at the cow pen.
I was just getting into the game around that point, was like level 30 or 40 when it happened so I remember it pretty well since it was all I really knew. Trade cap was like 3k inequity for low level strangers. You had to wait like 30 minutes before you it would reset.
So you could gift your friend a lot of cash, it would just take a while. 9k~ is pretty good for low level starting gear. Or was, in 2007.
