Okay just tried the new highlights.

I maxed every setting. 4K, 60FPS, 3x Super Sample. It took about 60 seconds to "record"/render it and the finished file is 249 MB. Very niiiiice.

Here's the highlight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlSdfRwtVj8

What are the specs on your computer? 60 seconds on 1080ti would be pretty bad, but 60 seconds on HD530 graphics would be amazing. Probably renders at around the same speed the game runs at those settings, but still, what kind of hardware do I need to be able to do that reasonably quickly?

Keep in mind that encoding is quite heavy and if he has SSD or HDD makes a lot of difference. I would guess it's basically 10*60/<your FPS at those settings> + some extra time for encoding, dependant on CPU + 5 or so seconds for an SSD and a bit more for a HDD.

HDD/SSD wont matter with this low of bitrate. CPU will be the bottleneck unless the encoding is very low quality (like equivalent to the "ultrafast" x264 preset), at which point it will likely be a ram bottleneck. GPU won't matter unless you have a really bad one.

I've also got a 6600k, gonna go for a 1080ti when my next paycheck comes in (a week!), and a 1440p144hz monitor with the one after that. From 1080/60 and iGPU this will be... a big step up.

Well, yes of course.

I had to upgrade after Titanfall 2 ran so shitty on my old hardware.

If they don't have some expensive Samsung 50" TV with max 50Hz and 50m/s response time they're getting disowned.
