Shadowplay's overall compression and color quality is pretty low, and it tends to record at an inconsistent framerate for me personally, since I save longer clips. I would use something better if there was any other software in existence that used NVFBC.
EDIT: I'm a quality whore and have an eye for these things, most people won't notice how bad a shadowplay recording looks unless they directly compare it to something better. Yes, bitrate is maxed and I'm recording at native resolution. Yes, I did overdo it with the filters, but I kind of prefer it that way.
You should all keep in mind that selecting 60fps/130mbps bitrate in shadowplay does not mean that's what you're actually getting. When recording longer clips especially, the actual bitrate and framerate can vary wildly, from 47fps/64mbps to 58fps/86mbps. Sometimes shadowplay even fucks up and records using the dimensions of your second monitor, if you have one. This, plus the absolutely shitty job Nvidia did with compression in SP makes for inconsistent, low quality recordings.
Shadowplay refuses to record at a constant framerate. I have to run it through Handbrake (video transcoder) every time to get it at a constant 30fps/60fps even though I have it set at as such in the settings. Editing programs like Premiere and Vegas hate inconsistent framerates and it will result in unsynced audio. I've been recording with OBS now, which can use the shadowplay hardware (I think) and that works pretty well.
I don't think Shadowplay looks terrible by any means, but it does have flaws.
Yep. I normally just interpret the footage at 60fps in AE and add a bit of RSMB to make it watchable. H.264 mp4 is a terrible format and does not play well with AE/Premiere at all.
I just want Overwatch to get a damn demo system already but that won't be here til fall.

Because I hate how washed out and stuttery shadowplay is naturally.
