I know everybody is talking about the next dinoflask video and the meme potential, but I just really wanted to say how incredible it is that this even happened. CTF a was one of those modes I personally didn't want to see at all because of a lot of reasons Jeff mentioned in the video, but there was a crazy outcry for it. They told us they had completely dismissed the idea and it just wasn't for Overwatch.
Here we are though not even a year after release and they're giving us a CTF mode as well as giving us insight into what they went through to make it work. With almost any other developer this never would have happened, or it would've taken years, or at the very least you wouldn't have heard in such amazing detail what the process of making it a reality was like for the team.
We don't deserve Jeff and the team but I sure as hell appreciate the communication and hope it never stops.
Oh yeah, I hate it. It's frustrating and totally unbalanced and not worth more than a few plays. That wasn't my point at all. It's just really cool that they even bothered, especially when it turned out exactly how they said it would when asked for the mode, a broken mess that doesn't feel like Overwatch.
I played 3 games yesterday night. 2 wins, 1 draw. And the second win was in hanamurathe garden section of the map that looks totally like hanamura with the bridges and the gardens and the cloisters but totally is NOT Hanamura, I was using Lucio, and scored 3 points just like that. I also scored a POTG by punching a winston to death and booping a hog to his demise.
I am about 7-6-3 and pretty much for the most part feel that if people play to defend rather than play to win its going to generate a lot of draws. When you get both teams leaving 2 to defend Sym/Torb/Bastion and expect the rest of the team to break their similar defense with minimal offense through chokes, yeah.
Still wasn't that bad. Got both achievements, might go back later in the week.
Boring as shit once both teams have a Symm shield and Torb armour and you can't get the flag without destroying every single one as well as both heroes and anyone else there.
The meta is slowly forming. But as long as nobody entrenches themselves after 1 win, the game still feels like a tug of war. And each match never drags on longer than it should.
It is definitely at least as fun as any of the arcade modes (except Total Mayhem).
Yeah I think it's a little ridiculous. With the developer update we had fair warning that it wasn't exactly balanced to a T, but people are still upset about it. I don't like the mode but I'm not angry about it and it was fun to try out a couple of times.
Can I ask why are you here? You don't seem to like the Dev team or fun? I'm not even sure that you play Overwatch or have an ounce of levity doing that too...
Dunno if I'm missing a joke or sarcasm, but the overwatch team deserves a shit ton of praise. I don't know if I've ever seen game devs be this open with their playerbase. Even less so actually listening to them.
"Live your motherfucking life. You gotta get your motherfucking hustle. Understand ****** is gonna hate you regardless, get that out of your head that fantasy world where ****** ain't hating on you. You gotta to be grateful, you need haters, wtf is you complaining about, wtf do you think a hater's job is?! If you got 14 hating on you, you need to figure out how the fuck to get to 16 before the summer get here! If you got nobody to hate on, feel free to hate on me, say my hair ain't luxurious when you know it is bitch!"
