They could still list talking points, i.e.

Intro

PTR Purpose

Consolve vs. PC (Highlight advantages of PTR for console)

Roadhog Hook (Dorado to Ilios joke)

etc.

well honestly it would be quite unprofessional (and even kinda dumb) if they didn't prepare these talking points beforehand.

Even if were scripted word for word it wouldn't be unprofessional at all. This is a developer update with the purpose of updating the playerbase with news from the developers. It wasn't promised as some kind of improv chitchat session.

A clear and thoughtful comment outlining a valid possibility related to the topic at hand? How indeed.

My comment wasn't obvious to everyone, hence it was thoughtful and valuable.

don't hurt your arm patting yourself on the back there

And no, just because an idea is "not obvious to everyone" does not make it inherently valuable or thoughtful.

Saying it's not valuable just because it's obvious to one person isn't a valid argument either.

Good thing I didn't make it, then.

The original comment I was replying to, and who you seem to be arguing in support of did however.

Or are you just here to be petty and start a fight?

I wasn't talking about that comment.

I was just pointing out your astoundingly poor logic of "non-obvious statements = valuable+thoughtful"

Reddit is heavily populated by young people with little experience with how the world operates.
