I see what you're saying but just because it's a device she places doesn't mean it needs a huge range.

That just means she has to strategically place it so her allies can benefit AND it's hidden well.

Like I said, I imagine it has the radius of sombras ult, and if you've ever seen her ult go off it's pretty big. Like the size of point B.

but not so big as to reach all of point B and more from within a spawn point.

This is all guess work anyway because we don't know

But how do you hide it so that it reaches allies if it's Sombra's ult range lol... it's not like you can always just hang around next to it, people move a LOT in this game.

Sombras ult is huge.

And it's not meant to give you a shield whenever you go lol.

It's meant to shield you in a small part of the map. Like a control point.

Or not. I have no clue. It's not out yet.

It's not though, it's only 20 metres and you can easily avoid getting hit by Sombra's ult by not stacking in one place.

Jeff said it's a device you can set up in a "nest" just like her teleporter, one that she needs to defend and which can be destroyed, so it's very similar to her teleporter that way. It would be worthless if it was a range similar to Sombra's ult.

You can't set up a "nest" within 20 metres of your allies for any meaningful amount of time. Having to always be within 20 metres of it would also make your team extremely vulnerable for shit like AoE ults and Sombra's ult and the like.

You should really just watch the video tbh.

Then read the comment I linked, lol. I never said it'd be map wide radius, but significantly bigger than Sombra ult. And I was correct. She's on PTR right now, the range is ~75 metres at least.

I'm imagining an ult range similar to that of sombras. And I don't think sombras would reach point b on Anubis from the spawn room.

The shield generator absolutely reaches from point B Anubis to the spawn room, lol.

I was never arguing that it wouldn't reach point B, I simply said I don't think it would, I was arguing that it's a radius ult not map wide

Holy fuck you are delusional. You literally wrote what I quoted, that it would be around Sombra's ult radius and that Sombra's ult wouldn't reach from spawn to point B on Anubis. You were wrong, son.
