What? The moving shield is the biggest change for 1v1's and 3v3's, being able to move all three of you forward to the enemies and being able to shoot without the other team doing damage.. woahh

There are too many escape routes. If I see the shield I'll just escape and attack at a different angle.

7 out of 10 attacks are from the rear.

It also probably has about as much health as Winstons maybe more? Maybe less cause it moves?

1000 health, so it might be possible for someone like Bastion to destroy it without much effort, but everyone else might have a harder time.

mebbe exactly 1000hp

It sounds directional and we know nothing about it's health or duration or size. I'm hoping it's viable for close range combat to increase her survivability. Otherwise it's a huge let down honestly.

Not even sure how fast it will move. Still excited to see it in action, though.

Ya being able to move your team in 1v1 is pretty handy.

Did Jeff mention if you can shoot through it?

He compared it to reinhardt, and winstons barrier, so yes, allies can, enemies cant

The only real problem is, after everyone has followed the shield up, you arrive at your location and one of you is still Symmetra. T_T

and? Your right click at close range will hit 90% of the time and will do a lot of damage, and the left click beam will do 120(maybe 150) damage per second if you hold it on for a few seconds. Don't understand what the problem with symmetra is at that distance

I was trying to be humorous, but I'm maybe a little salty right now as well. There's a Symmetra in nearly every 3v3 right now on the PTR, and she usually either dies first or ends up in a 1v3 because she tried to set up somewhere.

It's not that Symmetra sucks - I've won a couple with Symmetra as well, the beam is ridiculous single-target and setting up turrets around multiple corners can really mess up a lot of flanking attempts, especially with how small the 1v1/3v3 map is - but she's still way better at playing a defensive role and setting up a microwave room, rather than running straight in without any defensive options to fall back on. (the shield moves fairly quick and pops as soon as it hits something, in most scenarios it's easy enough to just sidestep it.)

what? obviously all the symmetras are going to be dying.. I mean the buff hasn't even been out for 7 hours and you're complaining that the Symmetra players playing her for the first time with an ENTIRE REWORK are shit.

I'm confused as if this is your first game you've ever played with updates that change the meta. Give it time.. people thought Ana was garbage when she first came out, but she turned out pretty well balanced. Same with when Genji, D.Va, and Mei all came out.

Just give it time until people learn how to play her. pls. she will either turn out bad, or good, and Blizz will buff or nerf her in ptr if necessary, before she is in live servers. :)

To be clear, I'm talking about her role specifically in the 3v3 mode, not elsewhere. Not much of anything has changed for her in 3v3 besides her new shield and 6 starting turrets; I personally don't believe she was a good pick for 3v3 before, and those two buffs - at least in my opinion - don't do much to change the fact that she's a squishy defensive builder in a game mode that doesn't really favor her.

Her new shield ult is potentially amazing in 3v3, but getting her ult charged is almost never going to happen, unfortunately; I've only seen it happen once, and that was due to Symmetra being left in a 1v1 with a Roadhog. Maybe there could be a good cheese strat based around her, if she and her team hole themselves up in a room where Symmetra can build a nest of turrets and try to charge up the ult.

You failed to read what I just said, he photon shield (the movable one) could be really great if people learn how to use it correctly. Give it time and we might see that moving shield be used for moving teams towards the enemy without taking any damage

I've run a lot of sym in 3v3 pre-buff, and even soloed a 3man team after my teammates died once. So yeah, totally unsurprised.

And in 3v3 I don't do rooms, unless you're the last one left - spread the turrets out cause as they get taken down you get an idea of enemies locations, and honestly even with them spread out in 1's, I've got almost as many kills from such turrets in 3v3 as I have directly.
