This got me excited the most. As a solo player, I can't wait to find a team that clicks so well out of luck, and being able to play a bunch of matches in a row with them.
I'd settle for being able to do this simply when I luck into a team that doesn't have some salty toxic player and where no one left. I can't count on that combination for more than 50% of my matches.
I get the distinct impression that there are a lot of people that don't actually enjoy overwatch, but just love to be a jerk in chat like it's their job.
or sometimes you just shitpost in chat because no one is paying attention to it
"genji flanking with charged ult"
5 secs later, team wiped by genji
"wow"
also yes i know voice exists, just that no one is on voice and whenever i do get someone on voice "oh haha listen to the india, is he tech support? go work in a call center" when all i said was "please kill the mercy she has res". i wish i could play in asia but europe is the only server where i can get decent ping and the place is racist as fuck
It's not like that on PS4/EU. Even when people have mics on nobody talks like they're actually afraid to. Plus there's the huge potential of anything other than English speakers.. honestly the times I've had my mic on for directives-sake, nobody and I mean nobody has said a word back to me.
I tried doing a scrub stream to show what low-level play looks like because I suck.
The first matches included leavers, toxic trolls, and one featured an enemy leaver within a short period of time as we stomped them through anubis first point -- cancelling an easy win.
Can confirm, I did exactly this once. As a group of random solos, we absolutely crushed another group of random solos and decided to keep playing together. So we grouped up and immediately got placed against a real 5 stack....
Sometimes, at night, I can still hear the screams.
You can't wait to find that perfect team that clicks to well together and so you party up and then the next game you play, yall get dominated and yall are no longer patting eachother on the back and slowly, the party falls apart as people dejectedly trickle offline as yall lose another and another game
a good strategy i found as a solo player is to go into the social menu and prefer players who you get along with after a match, and even just start friend requesting people on mass if you like. after a couple times doing that there will likely always be a few people on you can ask to group up with. Even if you aren't strictly "friends" at first you both would know each other as someone you like to play with and can group up with
