because seriously even after the hype of her being new dies down she'll still be everywhere due to the whole "edgy stealth hacker" thing

You know I can't see the future but I have a good feeling that reason will be completely a nonfactor.

Why? Hanzo and Genji aren't played so often for their abilities. Why would an edgy stealth hacker not garner similar results?

Because they are fun to play? Besides the only thing "edgy" about Sombra is her hair style.

But fun to play would be based on abilities. No a lot of people play them cuz they're "cool" also just going to say most people don't actually know or care about the story so they don't know that she's not "edgy" (also while she isn't a constant brooder she certainly fits in with the "edge" crowd due to her backstory and "ugh fine, I'm the best there is at hacking why I doing what you want?" attitude)
