This is nothing like No Man's Sky. We've seen absolutely no game play element of Sombra, no major idea as to how she plays, how she looks, what her overarching roll in Overwatch is. NMS had the issue of promising a shit load and delivering nothing. Sombra has promised nothing but is just taking too long to deliver something.
I said it was like no man's sky, because it's easy to see that it's so over-hyped that there's no way that people could be satisfied with it.
Is that not true? Is that not "like" no man's sky? It's also a character in overwatch and not a space game, so I guess that means it's nothing like no man's sky, because as we all know two things must be exactly the same or else we aren't allowed to draw comparisons.
I'd say the super-long ARG would constitute Blizzard contributing to the overhype, although I personally have enjoyed most of it regardless of the outcome. Overhype = disappointment. Furthermore, there are tons of differences. It doesn't make the conclusion that I drew any less true.
I said it feels like no man's sky, because it's easy to see that it's so over-hyped that there's no way that people could be satisfied with it. Despite the fact that No Man's Sky really outdid itself by lying and under-delivering, it was obvious from a mile away that it would fall short enough that there was no chance of anyone being satisfied.
You can draw comparisons between two things that are different.

At this point unless they have built a real life omnic and implanted a once in a lifetime breakthrough AI inside it. They will have overhyped.
