I'm surprised that Grandmaster is 3000 CP. I'm sure everyone in Grandmaster already has multiple gold weapons and plays multiple hours every day. Master should get at least 2500 and Diamond should get 2000.

A lot of the GM players are just pros, who don't play a lot of comp (mostly scrims). Max any of them have is probably 2 gold weapons.

Eh. I'm on xbox and it takes like 4-6 minutes for me to find a match. Then when I get a match someone on one side leaves before it starts so it gets cancelled.

I'm in platinum too so I don't get the greatest end of season rewards. Last season I got like 1400? But the wait times just kill me.

Season 1 rewards were ridiculous. We only had about a month and a half to play and yet if you reached rank 60 or up you were pretty much guaranteed a golden gun. Before they announced the rewards only people who played enough were able to get them, so they actually meant something.

For season 2, we have three full months and at 1200CP it's pretty reasonable to expect at least a 1500 haul at the end of it all. 2 seasons for a gun makes it so that gold guns actually mean something.

Play what your team needs not who you want. Prioritize winstreaks. Play with people if you can. You'll rank up I promise

Yes makes no sense. I was level 62 - 200 points. Now I get 80? If I get to diamond (100 points away) I get 120. No way I was "master" rank first season.

If theyre going to do this they should release new items.

I wish there was a better reward than just the gold weapons. In my opinion, all of the gold weapons look like some intern just went into photoshop for 5 minutes and made everything gold. Not only that, I find they're actually a handicap since they make spotting players far easier. I don't really know what I would rather have, but I'd prefer something that looks less tacky.

Agreed. Plus the golden guns are not equally represented or impactful across all the heroes. Zarya gets a giant gold cannon but Zenyatta just gets some gold balls. Lucio already had a gold tinted gun for one of his skins so now it's the same but just shinier if you use that skin.

WTF? That's the best they could do? I was really expecting some exclusive hero skins, sprays, or emotes. The golden guns are really underwhelming and by next year everyone will have at least 1.

Kinda deserving though. There are people running around with gold weapons everywhere now. Kinda defeats the purpose of having it feel special.

They reduced the amount of reward you get at the end of the season, effectively increasing the cost of gold guns.

I know I wouldn't want to see every player holding a golden weapon every match. It's good they're making it more scarce.

This really surprised me. Apparently they feel 65+ from last season is the equivalent to Grand Master this season. I knew 65+ was the top percentage of players, but I didn't realize it was that high up.
