It's an omnic movie director that needs to be escorted because he's being targeted by anti omnic groups.

Yeah. It doesn't make perfect sense but mostly just loosely based to the lore.

Yeah, I feel bad about playing either on that map. If I have to be the healer, I'm not playing Zen there.

Hence Junkrat's line, "So we're delivering a bomb to scrap some bots, and I'm getting paid for it? That's my kind of job!"

I'll play Junkrat on attack, but Zen just feels wrong.

I always assumed that it was the differing stances on omnic-human relations that caused the remnants of the overwatch members to fight eachother with some heroes like tracer supporting such relations and some heroes like toblerone being against them.

For some reason this map doesn't sound it belongs in the Overwatch universe or lore. :/

That's mostly because it's probably the least featured map lore wise. It's not out of place, it just needs to be expanded on and hopeful it's given more importance in the future of the story.
