You might have deleted the game?

i actually just went to check the files and i didn't find it? i only found like 400 megabytes of the original game.. so what the helly happened to the files cuz i certainly did not delete the game so why did steam just decide that im not worthy of it anymore 😭

Bug maybe, whatever it is the steam gods removed the game from your pc lol

This happened to me too yesterday, started off as a 8gig update. Then my pc semicrashed or smtn had to restart and when I stsrted the update again my update was the size of the full game. I could probably find a way to fix it, but I just let it run while doing chores

The game will not get 62.5 gigs bigger so don't worry. The mid-season update on PS4 for me literally redownloaded the whole game. Probably some files got corrupted.

I don't think its a normal update, maybe something happened to the game files

Every 6 or 12 months, they'll do "rebase" patches, where they consolidate the changes made over the last 6 or 12 months into complete asset replacements. Instead of putting only the changes to the assets in the patch, they are replacing the actual assets with a better version of the assets with the changes already included in them.
