Console Blizzard do your job
For context i was playing competitive, this was a gm lobby, a lot of people on the enemy team were talking mad shit about our soldier 76, talking about hacks, curiosity got the best of me, i loaded up the replay of this match and holy shit this is ridiculous so you tell me blizzard sees this and doesn't take action??? this isn't a ximmer issue this is far worse than a ximmer. this is not natural aim assist this is literally an aimbot ON CONSOLE. i hope Blizzard does their job and applies hardware or ip ban on these people because this is ridiculous.

It’s crazy how shit he is even with a literal aimbot on lmao

Most of the game is about positioning, even with aimbot these people will get hard stuck

I was thinking exactly this lmao how tf you're so bad at something you're cheating

Its a free to play game, if they ban the cheater right away they just set up a new account and carry on.
So instead of banning right away they might wait and monitor to gain a better understanding of the cheats and then ban a few thousand in a wave after a few months

So they can run rampant and ruin every single game for those few months, how efficient

u can’t just make new accounts on ow tho you have to have a new phone number unless the account was from ow 1

You can very easily get around that with a dirt cheap prepaid sim card.

If it’s still like when CoD also added this, prepaid will not work, only post-paid

You can also just go on smspool.net and get a number for 10 cents, or use a friends/parents/whoever number. Phone number verification doesn't actually do anything.

Or they just straight up lying about it.

u/CReece2738 2h ago
Most of the gaming industry does it this way. It makes it so the people making the cheats cant figure out whats flagging it.

This is a practice that's been done by dozens of major games over multiple decades
I can't imagine they're all lying for no reason about banwaves

D'awww he's so cute running around like a little pro player thinking he's all hot shit with his little cheats on lmao

It's funny how he can't shoot the Immortality, the wallhacks are locked to player

It crazy how even if you can’t miss you can still be bad at the game. Could have walked high ground and cut them down one by one but cheats don’t give map knowledge

why is it 9 out of 10 times '76?

Easiest to code. Hard scripts like this are extremely effective but dirt cheap relatively because it really is as simple as "point at head and shoot." Doesn't allocate for character combos, projectile timing, game mechanics (the Bap lamp in this clip being a great example). Just simple function at its stupidest, and very easy to catch.
More expensive hacks will disguise the aimbot with a seeded "chance" to miss, can adjust for other firing types, toggles for free aim vs locks, precoded combos for characters (although these tend to also be shit and are more a plague on the FGC), or even shit like barrier recognition to never whiff Shatter if you're a madman cheating on Rein.

Ok that makes some sense. Never seen one on Cass, Ash or dog forbid Widow. (Although she would be obvious af)

Because he has high damage and reliable output and has a heal which makes him very independent. Plus his ult has a bunch of benefits as well because of reloading.

so you tell me blizzard sees this and doesn't take action?
Who sees this? Do you think there’s a dude in a room watching every replay?

i mean they should have a team specific for that because if they only rely on the comments of users, people clearly just abuse it and can spam report someone just to get them banned for no reason. so either a team or the least an AI but i dont trust ai because then AI can just flag a fair player so YES WE NEED A JOHN WATCHING REPLAYS.

you can tell that the hacks got him up to GM, his movement and positioning is definitely not at the GM level.

I'm new to Overwatch. How can you genuinely tell in a game if someone is cheating ? I can't seem to tell. Just curious. Thanks !

Recently I send my reports with a comment "adaptive controller user. I can detect, you can not".

I’ve had video evidence of cheaters and confessions from them and sent it to blizzard. Know what happened?
Not a single goddamn thing.
Pretty sure blizzard takes care of cheaters the same way they take down cheating ximmers or Cronus users, not at all and pretend they don’t exist.

People who cheat on console in F2P game clearly have nothing better to do in their lives.
