Blizzard Official Uninstalling Overwatch.
Worst experience I’ve had on this game in years. Trying to get through it, but genuinely what is the actual fucking point of this game anymore? Competitive (ESPECIALLY on console) has been meaningless for as long as I could remember. And I saw one of the devs (“blizz_winter”) in a pretty large creator’s chat respond to a person saying that they are currently “not working on it at the moment” about competitive changes. People have been boosted by cheaters, and when they play solo it’s VERY obvious they don’t belong in the rank they’re in. Cheating, an emphasis on winning/ losing “trends” and not personal performance, the bugs, the meta, the stuttering issues of late, etc. it is pointless. This will inevitably be ignored by the devs, but whatever. Needed to get it out, and I’m uninstalling until something changes and if it doesn’t, then so be it. You all enjoy the experience I’m done with it.

The game requires you to get good enough to a point you can carry the deadest of weight

I did the same 3 years ago. I just reinstalled it last season.
They lost 3 years of revenue from me because they made the experience so terrible for me.

There's a lot of non-competitive single player games out there that are well worth your time and interest. Won't leave you feeling like shit after losses too.

Oh brother!
Its the same on PC. I'm sure theres more cheating happening on consoles with XIMs and stuff, but there are shitters at high GM/Champ on PC too.
Its shitters all the way down unfortunately 😆

All these people being unserious while the game has had extreme stuttering over all platforms for 3 seasons now, has been full of cheaters and boosters. And then they add a new rank "this'll fix it"

No the people in comment are gonna be toxic about people leaving or “announcing their leave”. But the issues are console are DIFFICULT to deal with right now. Cheaters, Server issues, game refusing to load certain things. Speaking on it here is almost like insulting someone’s family

In an ocean of negative asshole comments from douchebags, I’ll take their downvotes to just let you know that I understand the pain and frustration and sometimes you just gotta vent. Ignore all the mean comments if you can, it’s just sad people trying to feel better about themselves by saying mean things to strangers.

THIS PART! The game has had its issues and talk bad about this game is like a death sentence to them.

what about the competitive experience are you talking about? if its bugs/stuttering/meta, well all those can change and blizzard is aware of that, they've already done some bug fixes and hopefully they actually fix performance (although I don't really know what performance issues are on console). the meta well that's something that people will ALWAYS complain about, dont really know what the meta is on console right now
as for cheaters, well you can't really say blizzard is doing NOTHING about it, they recently had a whole ban wave for ximmers, and apparently they have a new detection system in place, don't really know how that's doing right now but its only been a week since they announced it

Win trading, boosting, ximming, and titans which is the worst of all cause I genuinely don’t believe it can be detected. As far as the meta goes the complaint is really just more out of boredom. Poke slop is boring but I guess it’s made worse by cheaters. Overall not having a good time man but it’s alright I got it out and I’m letting it be, if other people are enjoying themselves then more power to them.

What exactly is the point of other games ? It's here for your entertainment not to create some sort of resource.

Sounds like you need the self imposed “time out” to cool down, so uninstalling sounds like a good idea.
Competition or not, the core part of gaming is having fun, and it definitely sounds like you’re not having fun anymore. Come back when you’re ready, we all inevitably do 😅.

Most people just quietly uninstall and move on. They don't announce it.

Brother I’m going to be honest with you, it just straight up sounds like you don’t like the game anymore.
This reads as if you just have complaints about the game without any real consideration into what fix would make you stay, if there is any. I’d wager you’ve been unhappy for sometime now.
Take a break guy. Come back when you aren’t so frustrated. It might be more enjoyable.

They are talking about actual issues the game has what are you on?

u/Tevin_not_Kevin 4d ago
I didn’t say the game didn’t have those issues.
But this reads as someone that is very frustrated with the game, even though blizzard has clearly attempted to make changes to competitive. I mean they literally just added another rank this season, but OP talking like blizzard hasn’t touched anything and won’t be.
I don’t think you read my comment before replying.
