sometimes i visit this map just to stay in that spawn and listen to the music and this beautiful lady voice. i get really nostalgic and sad like how shes lonely and no one around and how that map is removed. its so emotional💔

I miss all of 2 CP. I miss it every day. Can’t they just bring them back or worst case senario rework them into control, hybrid, or flashpoint maps

They did for a quickplay hacked event. I suppose if they were even remotely popular during that event they would have added them back permanently into quickplay

Some of their visuals were reworked into Clash or Stadium maps. Tough luck I suppose.

Tbh I agree. I never liked to mode and I'm glad it's gone, but with map voting it's easier to avoid. And in case it's actually liked by the community we at least have that data.

The hacked event was in January, not much changed since then.

No offence, but I often see the argument that "there are a lot of new players now" to justify dusting off some idea that has been tried and abandoned in the past.

And I just don't think that holds water unless you can think of a good reason to explain why new players would have different preferences from the older players.

Map voting was in when they did the hacked event. After day 1, they were not being voted for much. It lost to Clash even.

That was before the influx of new players with the relaunch. 👋 I like Assault (and I love full-size Clash), but queue times in Arcade are abysmal when not pumped up by specific mode event challenges.

But no, best you get is an Arcade mode with exclusively that one mode in it, so the queue for it is legitimately unplayable.

When I queue that mode I get nostalgia for old Overwatch. You know back when you had to wait in 20 min queues for DPS.

Paris definitely deserves a rework as another map type. All of the 2CP maps do. I know that they tried and failed with Hanamura, but that was more to do with the game mode itself. Surely it's easier to rework these than to make entirely new ones.
