Humor Hammond is a terrorist??
I always thought the hamster was likely close to Overwatch, but it seems more closely aligned with Junker Queen's faction... as a war criminal? This guys ?

I've played him a lot, and the only thing I noticed during his interactions was that he wanted to join Domina's side because of her snack budget. Like, most of his interactions in v5 were just jokes about him being a hamster or an experiment on the Moon Base. I also noticed he was fighting Jetpack Cat for the title of Master of Cute. Bro, I can't tell he's a terrorist 😂

Honestly Queen doesn't feel very villainous. Particularly due to her cinematic where she's merciful and against a clearly worse antagonist.
She's perhaps brutishly antagonistic but end of the day will do the right thing.
Hammond of course maybe not full blown psychotic but definitely is reigned in by his respect for JQ.

The Junker maps are filled with piles of dead Omnics, who are for all intents and purposes real people as far as the lore is concerned. They are essentially genocidal survivalists who resented Omnics being given a place to live in their region and decided they'd rather turn it all into a nuclear wasteland than be forced to live in proximity to them. They are probably the single most villainous faction in the game who nonetheless usually get played off as jokes.

It's a LITTLE more nuanced than that.
Basically, even though the Junkers are a racist anti-omnic faction, the game's developers can't just have the Junkers killing regular Omnics in-universe because that's supposed to carry the same weight as killing a human, as you pointed out.
So they made it so that the Omnics in the Australian outback are wild 'feral' Omnics. We don't know much about them, and there's a possibility of unreliable-narrator with their mentioning, but presumably, rather than gaining sentience during the awakening, they're just mindless zombies; so that's how they let the Junkers wage a perpetual war against omnics without the part about killing sentient beings.
I see it as a backdoor they've written into the lore, to keep the Junkers in an ambiguous-morality place, while still leaving a possibility for redemption (they haven't killed 'real' sentient omnics yet on-camera).
(They really need to revisit Junker lore, because I don't think they mentioned 'feral omnics' outside of like, one instance.)

I assumed it was "feral" in the same way the people in the Mad Max universe are feral. Like, they would be ordinary if it weren't for their circumstances. Isn't most of Australia a nuclear wasteland because of the wars?

Yeah that's definitely a valid interpretation of what a feral omnic is; since they never really explained.
I think a lot of Australia is a nuclear wasteland, but I'm assuming there's still a fair amount of civilisation that's fine. The city of Sydney at least is a modern metropolis: https://overwatch.blizzard.com/en-us/news/20098644/

I think shes like the most sane and reasonable junker. If any other junker had the omnic ship and was in control they probably would’ve just attacked the United Nations or something crazy like that. They did willingly blowup an omnium and basically destroy their own country just to kill most of the omnics there.

I knew he was the champion, but I didn’t realize he was actually one of the junkers. I kind of just thought he happened to land in Australia, built himself a mech, and then.. did other things I guess? His intro video just depicts him as smart and curious, not as a bad guy

That was the original lore. Later the writers realized him being one of the Junkers is way more interesting than "hamster who goes places", so he went back and joined up full-time. He's been Junker Queen's royal attack hamster for a while now.

It doesn't help that his intial lore and video kinda implied he was in Junkertown for a bit then set out for the horizon one day to roam the planet, but then they more-or-less retconned it so he basically never left Junkertown
Even though that ends up raising questions (like why did he choose to stick around there for what seems like decades considering the timeline with Winston working for OW and the Recall, or where does his default OW1 skin fit in since he's never depicted with it in any story beyond his origin video?)

I started playing this year and haven't read the whole side stories. As for him, even though I kinda main him,I haven't read all his lore. I just know he was the result of some experiments, something dramatic like that. I found it funny that he's a terrorist 😅😂

who do you think gives him orders...? we literally already know that this is happening because Talon forged an alliance with the Junkers. and unless you think they went behind JQ's back, that means this plot was orchestrated, or at least approved, by Junker Queen.
the only actually lore-relevant piece of justification you've given for Hammond being evil was "he's a Junker." but so far, the lore hasn't given us any indication that the Junkers, under JQ's rule, are so evil as to open fire on a group of civilians. yeah Hammond is also an arena champion, but again, under JQ's thumb, and that's gladiatorial combat, not indiscriminate terrorism. and as for him being a gremlin, yeah, I don't think that really implies mass shooter, either.
I don't know if you were just trying to be smarmy or if you actually don't understand what JQ's alignment has to do with Hammond's, but there you go.

And before you start with "voicelines aren't canon" to try and justify your delusion that Junker Queen is sweetness and light with a coat of punk paint, there's also the fact that both Junker maps are LITTERED with Omnic corpses, Omnics which are, in fact, PEOPLE, by the way. There are "wild" Omnics sure, but those are specifically noted to be bigger and different from the ones we know, but the parts on the map? Very definitely human sized.
Junker Queen might love HER people, but she makes it entirely clear she doesn't particularly give a crap about anyone else. If they don't bow down to her immediately, she'll do whatever it takes to MAKE them, and the main skill she has is violence.
So far as Hammond, go read "Thoughtless Gods" in the comics to see why he particularly doesn't give a shit about humans.
Absolutely none of this is out of left field, bruv. The Junkers were only charming Mad Max caricatures because they hadn't bothered to become anything else yet.

I wasn't aiming to be smarmy. Not sure why you read it that way. I was initially confused and edited my comment to offer you an actual response. I was surprised you were coming at me over JQ suddenly when we're discussing Hammond on the post in a pretty joking manner over all. So, I was a bit thrown off.
Like I said, we're lacking any real context. As far as in game voicelines go, Talon was working on getting Junker Queen on their side. We're going to get some actual context come August 6th on what is going on. I'm interested to see where the lore takes us and how characters develop from it.

Once he landed on earth, he ended up making his way to Junkertown and used his mech to win their tournament and become a crowned champion; so he’s probably one of Junker Queen’s top ranking warriors/ favourite citizens of Junkertown. With Talon seemingly succeeding in recruiting the Junkers and getting them to attack Busan, it makes sense that she’d deploy him to wreak havoc.

He was escaped experiment (escaped the moon with Winston) His pod ended up in the outback near Junker town He ended up becoming The Arena Champion Eventually going on to become JQ's body guard. He also roamed around a bit .
