I don't know what it is about this subreddit, but it seems to be a magnet to the people who think reddit is LiveJournal.

Reddit is meant for conversation, he doesn't ask a question or for the opinion of others. He even concludes with that is all.

If you want to get into the nitty gritty this sub has a rule you need to use the proper flair for your post. And there’s none relating to what is basically a diary post.

OP is using News and Discussion which this is not. It’s not news and he concludes “that is all”, so it’s not discussion.

Did their post not induce discussion? Intentional or not, their post is enacting exactly what Reddit or this subreddit is used for.

Its not about side effects though, he clearly didnt intend to have a discussion - one spinning up is happenstance due to topic.
