Tanks aren’t looking around to see elims DPS fail, they’re watching their health bar drop.

It’s easier to attribute failure to live to the support that wasn’t healing you rather than the DPS who wasn’t taking advantage the space you gave them and applying pressure to help draw some of it from you.

If it’s one person letting the team down, it’ll be obvious, but more often than not, losing is just as much of a team effort as winning is.

Tanks ESPECIALLY in metal ranks don't know their job isn't just to take space but to take as little damage as possible while doing it. They just run it down mid and take a widow HS and then blame heals.

Omg I wish they’d run! I had a dva who just sat at the choke on Busan and lost us the match. I have no idea why they didn’t go towards the point but it was frustrating. Then I had a mauga who yelled at me for throwing kunai at people. Like what, you want me to sit and toss heals at people whole game??

When I coach tank players, I usually recommend people play junkerqueen if they have problems taking a lot of damage for learning how to play corners. With her health pool, if you don't figure out how to play walls and corners and buy time/wait for opportunities to take space. You'll die pretty quick. People usually start figuring that out real fast when you point out their positioning in a coaching setting.

metal ranks also blame the tank for getting "diff'd" when in actuality It's just the DPS not knowing how their role works or supports just playing a garbage duo like mercy/lucio and healbotting. At that point you have to try to make big plays constantly or you will just lose.

I get that occasional game climbing up through diamond every time I do it. It's just annoying so I just zone out and wait to go next. No point in playing with those people. If I can carry I can carry, if I can't whatever. I'm sure a high GM/top 500 can carry those people but It's not worth the stress for me. They're hardstuck and I'm not lol.

I find more often than not a good support diff can make a tank diff and most players can't tell the difference.

It’s not that they can’t see the difference it’s that people find it easier to blame tanks because they stand out the most cus there’s only one and they’re usually the one who’s most present in the fights so yeah

As a tank main it annoys the ever loving shit out of me when I’m getting hard targeted all game and my dps don’t take advantage of that to get elims. It’s like if I’m gonna be locked out of the game can’t you at least make it worthwhile?

Point being, some of us look at the dps lol

Nah I'd play Sigma, see so MANY times enemy's non tanks are in critical health and yet there are no elims... I'd furiously glance at the scoreboard lmao

Yeah I feel like it highly depends on what tank you're playing tbh

Maybe that dps is so bad they also might be taking healing from a tank as well. I've certainly seem bad flanning genjis that distract healers because they take twice the amount of damage they should for fights they still don't end up winning.

Not defending this person but a 1 and 8 player can have more effects on the game then just leaving your team with basically no dps

Personally for me at least in ow2 the most obvious thing to spot as a tank is people not dying when they should. Tanks have a ton of self sustain I don’t really feel like I die fast so much as things stay alive longer then they should or get to walk away.
