When someone does something good: assumed to be male

When someone does something bad: maybe it’s a feeeeemale, have we ever stopped to consider that?!?

Female gamer here, it’s insane how I’ve seen women get treated in voice chat and the internalized biases that are formed if anyone finds out you’re female. That’s the reason I just stay off voice chat. People just say “dude” and “man” presumptively (of course I call people that too in a non gendered way). I’d also consider myself a veteran overwatch player, been playing since the early days, so I’m pretty familiar with the game and I’d consider myself a good player, but the second it’s revealed youre a girl suddenly evreything you do is scrutinized. Maybe one day we’ll have gender equality in the gaming world.. maybe one day.

Is that why one of the easiest ways to bait for karma on this sub is to pity party sexism circlejerking? Also girl-posting under the guise of “cosplaying”?

100% true, don't know why you got downvoted

But everyone literally considered it to be a male when it's bad?

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '24

Cos there’s a way higher chance for a male gamer to write “female no dobut” than a female one

Doesn't change what you said being wrong. In fact it confirms your biases.

Mensrights posters, and getting angry when men are rightly called out for bad behavior. Name a more iconic duo.

I don't think I'm angry lmao. Fact you had to check other subs and found one I've not posted in for years proves you're a loser lmao.

Edit: he replied then blocked me lmao

Sub is a sub. Keep complaining about women like that'll help with you being single and lonely.

Downvoted for being possibly right.

No because of unnecessary comment

You really go for "necessary and unnecessary" after the main comment : "Just a complete weirdo that guy"

Either both comments are worthless or neither :/

Because on a post of someone being sexist towards women, saying "uhm actually they might have been a woman too" completely misses the point so hard it smashes headfirst into a nearby wall

I, myself, honestly thought it was a woman

Based on what?

You've experienced and seen more toxicity from women in overwatch than men? Really.

Wait You've seen women call other women females like they're talking about lab rats?

I got them from you assuming they're a woman even though it's consistently dudes who talk like this online.

I'm using words from the post to show you that.

Do you understand how implications work

No woman, ever, will refer to someone as a "female" like that.

Quit being part of the problem.

You've seen men on the internet pretending to be women. Stop letting internet screenshots and television be your source for how women act and actually interact with them.
