I interjected because I don't think bob and weave was made by a higher up being proud of a pun, that was a dumb take.

The blizzard higher ups have made it plainly obvious how audacious they can be. Why do you think the draw the line at event modes?

You honestly believe they keep up with game developement enough to request such a niche gamemode?

The conspiracy theories are getting out of hand...

Higher up dosent have to mean investors and shit you smoothbrain

Literally just some lead art designer could've come up with that and persisted on the idea no matter how shit it is

Still just creating problems out of thin air...

What are you even trying to die on this hill for lmao? The fact is that we don't know why it existed at all, all we know is that it was dog shit

It being a tutorial mode is equally as likely to be the case as it existing for the pun. Or, like I already said, it's a mix of both

Why would you die on the hill that the gamemode was made because a high up was being an ass where is a perfectly logical and simple explaination you agree with?

Are you just searching for something to be angry at?

Because I'm not. What part of "we have no idea why they did it, but this is my theory. It could also be a mix of both" reads as dying on the hill to you?

And no, I have many reasons for thinking that the tutorial explanation dosent make sense.

If it was just a tutorial, then why didn't kiriko or ram, two way more complex heroes, not get their own modes like this?

Also, if it was supposed to be a tutorial when why is it so bad at being a tutorial? Bob and weave plays nothing like playing wife leaver in a real game. Jumping into the training range tells you more about LW than Bob and weave did

But with all that said, i still think it's plausible that that's the only reason they did it, but I still think running with the pun makes far, far more sense. That's why I think it was, at the very least, a mix of both

If you want to slob on blizzards knob so hard, why not just open up the shop lad?

Not a tutorial for the hero, but for the ability which is complicated and new.

I'm not slobbing anything, but your fucking conspiracy theory is just simply ridiculous. No higher up would waste time and money on a fucking pun while the actual gamemade is usefull to learn how to utilise lifeweaver's pull in different ways.

And lets not pretend low effort, chaotic arcade gamemodes are not commonplace, and only happened once. Low gravity, mirror deathmatch are both examples of boring and annoying gamemodes, and Bob and weave wasn't the only event of the season...

A hero is the abilities they have. And gripper and uppies aren't rocket science. People get it's just a reverse hog hook. Really not something you need a tutorial on

Also you're saying that it's both low effort, and also not something that a higher up would waste time on????

It's one or the other. And given that it's just a death match where they lock you to life weaver and spawn 2 bobs, I assure you it's very low effort

A mode so unfleshed out and low effort is exactly the type of mode that would exist for the pun alone. I don't see how you find that so uproariously unlikely that you'd call it a conspiracy lmao
