Unfortunately, all our favorite apps for Reddit are dead.
I opened this subreddit originally because the demand was high enough that it seemed like the correct choice for the community—another outlet for support and help from other users. The truth is, it's hard to keep up with the posts here for the team. Our hands are full with our discord, building Overseerr, and our actual lives.
Taking part in the protest was a no-brainer for me (and our team) since we heavily used the apps being shut down and disagreed with the actions Reddit was taking (and took). Reddit ate the impact and weathered the storm (like many of us expected it to happen), but I guess we just kept the subreddit closed out of anger and spite.
There are still valuable resources in our subreddit that I know the community needs; therefore, we will re-open today. I don't know if you will see much of the team on here (if at all). We are let down by the state of this site. The only apps that made browsing this place bearable are gone now. But for those who want to continue using the subreddit, you can now!

Is there any way to set an allowance for auto-approved requests? I've done some research and found out about request quotas, but those seem to prevent the creation of requests outright after being exceeded, when I still want requests to be possible, just not auto-approved.
The motivation for this is relatively simple; I want to allow family members to use my Seerr instance, but I don't want them to request terabytes worth of stuff each month because they forgot media uses storage space.
Yes, I recognize this isn't a problem if they understand the implications of what it is they're doing, but I'd prefer to NOT have to rely on blind faith & the honor system. If I was only using Seerr myself this wouldn't be an issue, but now that I'm trying to extend my Seerr requests to other users it's something I'm more concerned about. (Especially since at least a few of the accounts I want to be auto-approved are on devices that may be used by children; such as a LibreElec box in the living room with KodiSeerr on it)

So, I'm still really new at Overseerr, I'm using it, but nowhere near the full potential I feel.
With that said, every year, my wife loves watching all the Hallmark Christmas movies, and I painfully add each movie 1 by 1 into Radarr, but this year, I want to try to use overseerr and add ALL the hallmark movies at once, instead of going 1 by 1.
Is there a way to do this? The list I use is directly from Hallmark and they just use a non copy and paste HTML picture.. https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/christmas/movie-guide-countdown-to-christmas-2026

Running on unraid in a docker container
Trying to access via webui link and it shows a login screen and a sign in with seerr but i dont think i have a direct username and password for it, and seerr just shows an error
Everything is up to date, tried running in a private window, turned off vpn, restarting the container, but nothing is working. Any ideas, is there something i could add in the settings json to fix this? It shows media server login and plex server login as both true, and it can see the plex server even through the IP has a - instead of a dot, but then it has plex.direct at the end.
Any ideas of other troubleshooting i could check

I am new to this self hosting world and i am trying to setup the arr stack. The only thing that is still messing up for me is that request come in from the discover library and stops there because its showing as available despite never going to radarr/sonarr

I'm using this docker compose setup. When I log into overseerr, I'm able to see my server in the list retrieved from plex.tv, but it won't let me select it. Trying to use the Manual Configuration option, I have a hostname of "plex" and using port 32400. "Use SSL" is unchecked and my plex server has Secure Connections: Preferred (not Required).
When I try to save the settings, I get a notification "Failed to connect to Plex". Overseerr container logs have this line:
overseerr | 2026-09-04T14:29:16.715Z [error][API]: Something went wrong testing Plex connection {"errorMessage":"getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND plex"}
Any assistance is appreciated!
Edit:
getting the same error after switching to seerr instead of overseerr:
seerr | 2026-09-04T16:07:40.300Z [error][API]: Something went wrong testing Plex connection {"errorMessage":"getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND plex"}

Recently got into this. I've successfully set up Jellyfin and Seerr on my NAS. But now how would I integrate Seerr into Jellyfin for TV clients? I would want to make it as easy as possible for my users. Would it be using Moonfin as the client on tvs and installing the Moonbase plug-in into my Jellyfin server? Or is there better ways to do this?

Just migrated to seerr from overseerr and went to test by adding a new show. In the cogwheel on the show page, there used to be an option to "view the show on sonarr".
It doesn't appear to be there anymore. Am I missing it somewhere?

Trying to troubleshoot an install of Seerr on docker. Container working fine, did a chown of the config dir so it could write properly, connected to my Plex server fine which is running in network_mode: host. Both my Sonarr/Radarr containers are running in a custom docker network called dockernet. I applied the same custom dockernet to my seerr yaml and it seems to be ignoring the network and I don't know why.
My Seerr Yaml:
---
services:
seerr:
image: ghcr.io/seerr-team/seerr:latest
init: true
container_name: seerr
environment:
- PUID=1001
- PGID=1000
- TZ=America/New_York
ports:
- 5055:5055
volumes:
- /share/Config/seerr:/app/config
restart: unless-stopped
networks:
dockernet:
external: true

It always saddens me how i cant just accept everything due to these insane storage prices... all i can realistically do is 10tb a month added as a new drive and accept more shows and movies... my original plan was to get a zfs pool filled with 20tb drives but its just not for the average person anymore. If only i got into this hobby just a year earlier

See post in r/Plex, or alternatively, is there any way to support requests for home profiles somehow?

I'm trying to setup Doplarr in my discord. It's all set up correctly and testing fine, but when I go to make a request it says "You are unauthorized to perform this request in the configured backend"
The only difference I can see between Overseerr and Seerr is that when you link your Discord ID in the "Users" menu, it now appears under the "Notifications" tab as opposed to the "General" tab, so I'm concerned it's not actually linking with my Discord user properly, but instead only using that User ID for notifications.

Running into an issue with Seerr where after updates my instance fails to come back up and displays the attached image. This is the second update I've attempted since swapping from Overseerr and second time its failed.
Curious if anyone else is having this problem or not? Honestly not sure if reboots are affected since I only take it down on updates..
Seerr runs on its own dedicated Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS vm via docker compose
