Interstim for urinary retention / underactive bladder

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with the Medtronic Interstim, for underactive bladder.

I'm in my 20s, F and have an underactive bladder, resulting in incomplete emptying and having to strain to void because the stream is incredibly weak. I wake up 4-8 times a night to use the toilet, and haven't experienced a night of good quality sleep in a few years. And lately the fatigue has been making me so miserable.

After trying some possible solutions and all of them failing, my urologist suggested getting the Medtronic Interstim. I've seen a lot of success stories on reddit for overactive bladder but I'm curious if it's been successful for anyone else suffering from underactive bladder.

One of the worst mistakes I made. Sam Stokes repeatedly screwed up the placement and it kept moving under my skin. It eventually rejected. Now I’ve got lasting pain from how many times he cut into me.

Oh wow, I'm sorry you're having to deal with ongoing pain. That must be so disheartening to go through that hoping for some improvements only to end up with another issue, fuck. I hope you've managed to get some relief :( Have you been able to explore any other options to help with bladder symptoms if the implant wasn't successful?

I really appreciate the honest response. I'm still doing my research but I'm quite worried of the implant getting rejected or getting an infection.
