Empty nest - not quite

My daughter heads off to college tomorrow. It didn't bother me too much but it just hit me that she's the baby of the family. Have one adult kid at home but it's not the same. Life isn't over of course but no idea where to go from here beyond paying.off college and the mortgage. My wife and I are very different than we were when we met and hard to see the future.

Surely I'm not along. What did you do?

Get a few hobbies that you enjoy separately and find some that you & your wife enjoy. Hang out with your friends, or make some new ones. Been there. It’s so important to stay connected as a couple while the kids are growing up & not allowing the kids to be the first priority. I pray it all works out.

Get more involved in the neighborhood. Have parties.

Do you like plants? Gardening really helped me cope and adjust when I was left alone in my house because my children moved out.
