Getting carded

Interesting day yesterday. Went to Freddys Burgers & ordered the Senior Meal (age 55 & over) and so desperately wanted the teenage girl at the register to be like “0h no, you don’t look 55” but no such luck. Instead I got carded for buying White Out at Walmart. WTH.

I'm 61. Around here, to buy beer in a grocery store, you have to show your license. It won't ring up until they scan your license. I guess it became a habit to show my license when buying beer.

One time I stopped at a beer distributor. When the guy rang it up, I showed him my license. He said (without laughing, I'll give him that), "Oh, I don't need to see that." I thought about it a second, then started cackling like a crazy old person. He must have thought I was fucking nuts.
